Joanna Paun is the kind of leader Sonoma County needs to represent District 2, someone who understands the real challenges families face and is committed to delivering practical solutions. A mother of four and longtime community advocate, Joanna has spent her career putting families, students, and vulnerable residents first.
As a trustee and former president of the Petaluma School Board, she has worked to ensure public institutions deliver results for families, not politics as usual. She also serves as Sonoma County’s education coordinator for foster and homeless youth, helping ensure that some of the county’s most vulnerable children have access to opportunity and stability.
Joanna brings a deep commitment to equity, affordability, and accountability. She has helped expand clean transportation with electric school buses, promoted greater diversity and inclusion in local schools, and worked to close the achievement gap so every child has a fair chance to succeed.
With her focus on affordability, housing, and strong public systems, Joanna Paun is ready to bring thoughtful, community-centered leadership to the Board of Supervisors.
